GTN Expands into Geophysics

With the employment of Mr Ingmar Budach, Geothermie Neubrandenburg GmbH expands its field of activities by geophysics.

In May 2014, Mr Budach concluded his studies in the specialist field of geophysics („very good“) at the Freie Universität Berlin where he has been a member of the task force “Magnetotellurics” and could participate in manifold research projects at home and abroad. A two-month logging campaign led him to the Central High Andes in North Chile for participation in magnetotelluric measurements at the Lascar and Lastarria volcanoes. The results of these investigations formed the basis of his M.Sc. theses “Three-dimensional magnetotelluric investigation of the inflating Lazufre Volcanic Complex in the Central Andes of Northern Chile and Argentina“ summarized in Budach et al. (2013), published in Journal of South American Earth Sciences, vol. 42.

In our company, Mr Budach is concerned with all questions in the field of geophysics focusing on magnetotellurics (planning, implementation, interpretation), seismic interpretation and attribute analyses (2D and 3D), seismic monitoring, borehole geophysics, analysis of structure and stress field as well as the compilation of geological (3D) models.
